Dental implants provide a stable, comfortable and long-lasting solution for replacing missing teeth, while offering excellent aesthetics. They are considered the gold standard in modern dentistry for closing tooth gaps without damaging neighbouring teeth. Unlike dental bridges, implants do not require healthy teeth to be ground down.
An implant-supported restoration consists of three components: an artificial tooth root that is placed in the jawbone, a connecting element (abutment), and the visible restoration such as a crown, bridge or denture. These components are custom-made in our dental laboratory by highly skilled dental technicians. During a personal consultation, we will explain the procedure in detail and help you choose the most suitable implant solution.
Dental implants significantly expand the possibilities of modern dental prosthetics. In many cases, implants allow the placement of fixed restorations even where removable dentures were previously the only option. Removable dentures can also be securely stabilised with implants. For long-term success, sufficient bone volume in the jaw is essential. If necessary, preparatory procedures can be considered during treatment planning.
Most dental implants are made of titanium, a material that has been used successfully in medicine for decades. Titanium is highly biocompatible, tissue-friendly and well tolerated. To date, no allergies to titanium are known.
As an alternative, all-ceramic dental implants are available. These metal-free implants also offer excellent biocompatibility and are particularly advantageous from an aesthetic point of view. They are especially suitable in cases of gum recession, as they avoid dark shadows near the gum line and ensure a very natural appearance.
Even in cases of complete tooth loss, modern implant dentistry offers reliable solutions. Both in the upper and lower jaw, fixed or removable implant-supported dentures can be used to restore chewing function, comfort and confidence.
Implant-supported dentures help avoid common problems associated with conventional full dentures, such as poor fit, pressure points, reduced taste sensation or the need for adhesives. Together with you, we will develop a personalised treatment concept that takes your wishes, functional needs and aesthetic expectations into account.
